Heroin addiction is a serious threat to society. Once the person starts using the drug, the brain’s chemical balance is altered, affecting one’s thinking and behavior. Moreover, as the body starts tolerating the drug, the body would require higher dosage to be able to feel the “high”. And so, dependency on the drug occurs. And with dependency, the person would continuously be hungry for the drug and could not live normally without the drug. Thus, the person develops an addiction towards the drug.
